Earth Church Outreach

A Presentation at Christ Church Cathedral

Audience at Christ Church Cathedral Houston

Jim Blackburn has continually examined his views on the relationship between spirituality and nature. The ideas expressed in his recent book of poems, Earth Church, form the  direction of his environmental work today. He seeks kinship between spirituality and robust efforts to save our environment. Dominion over nature can no longer be our goal, harmony is needed

Jim recently talked to parishioners of Houston's Christ Church Cathedral about Earth Church and his recent collaborations with artist Isabelle Scurry Chapman. He read some poetry from the recent book, and was well received even here in the oil capital of the world.

You can hear Jim read some of his poetry here.
